In an mp config struggling to start remote node keep getting security violation but probably something simple I am missing an environment variable?. This is a large application consisting of 6 nodes in an mp config and many other nodes defined as gateways. I wanted the option of first only doing the master and backup migration to 10gr3 then the then the other non master backup machines(6.5) as a seperate phase. Here are the relevent sections of the ubb:

Hi,

A couple of things strike me about your setup, although I'm sure they're directly related to your problem. First you appear to be running unpatched versions of Tuxedo. I would definitely update both your 10gR3 and 6.5 installations to the latest rolling patch. Also, you haven't set the TYPE parameter in the *MACHINES section, even though you have different architecture machines in the same domain. And this last one definitely is not related to your problem, but setting SPINCOUNT to 0 is a bit unusual. Depending upon the number of CPUs/cores on each machine, values of 5000 to 100000 are not uncommon.
